Procurement of Official Vehicles

We are pleased to announce that the Seismological Service has recently acquired three Ford Ranger Wildtrak X vehicles. These vehicles will be crucial in enhancing our field measurements and deployment capabilities.

These off-road vehicles, equipped with 4×4 drive, provide excellent mobility and stability on demanding terrains. The cargo area, measuring 1651 mm in length, and a payload capacity of 940 kg, allows for transporting a substantial amount of equipment necessary for seismic surveys. The front and side LED spotlights ensure optimal visibility in all conditions, while the roof racks and hardtop cover enhance the vehicle’s functionality. A winch with a pulling force of 5454 kg further increases the vehicle’s capability to overcome difficult obstacles, ensuring our team can efficiently and safely conduct surveys on various terrains.

The procurement of these off-road vehicles has been fully funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, utilizing funds from the European Union. This initiative was carried out in collaboration with MATINS d.o.o. and Grand Auto d.o.o.
