On Sunday, June 15, 2025, we headed to the island of Lastovo to install the last three of ten underwater seismometers (Ocean Bottom Seismometer – OBS) from K.U.M. Umwelt- und Meerestechnik Kiel GmbH. Upon arrival on the island of Lastovo, we prepared, assembled and calibrated the instruments to ensure the highest possible quality data collection. All three instruments were installed south of the island of Lastovo, in the South Adriatic Basin area, where depths reach up to 1223 m.
OBS instruments were deployed by CROSSNET project associates: Viktorija Milec, Iva Kostanjšek, Antonio Brcković, Marko Kapelj, Goran Čorak and Bruno Mravlja, technician Damir Ptičar, with the project manager Tomislav Fiket.

Upon arrival at the deployment locations, the instruments were lifted above the sea surface by crane and released into the sea. The depths of the instruments were checked with the P.A.C.S. deck unit, and the instruments were deployed at depths ranging from 686 to 1022 meters.
