Over the past year, the project team has conducted intensive and extensive field work with the aim of collecting quality data and improving the seismological network in the Republic of Croatia. During this period, project associates visited more than 230 locations, ensuring wide spatial coverage and reliability of the collected information. Field work covered the entire continental Croatia and parts of the Kvarner and Dalmatian seabed.

Special emphasis was placed on field measurements, with a total of 123 measurements being carried out using standardised methods and newly acquired equipment on the project. In total, more than 90 days of field work were achieved, which confirms the continuous presence of the expert team and a high level of engagement on the project.
As a result of the activities carried out, 97 land seismological stations and 10 ocean bottom seismometers were installed. These stations represent an important infrastructure for long-term seismic monitoring and create the basis for future analysis, research and strengthening of Croatia’s resilience to earthquakes and related risks.
