From September 9 to 12, 2025, project associates on the CROSSNET project Valentina Gašo, Viktorija Milec and Anamarija Tremljan Milun participated in the CTBT: Science and Technology Conference series, SnT2025 in Vienna as part of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization.
The SnT2025 aims to advance nuclear-test-ban monitoring and on-site inspections by exploring innovative methods and breakthrough technologies. It emphasizes the role of scientific progress and international collaboration in supporting national priorities, shaping policy, and strengthening the CTBT’s universal adoption.

The conference seeks to connect and empower diverse communities, fostering inclusion across gender, geography, generations, and engaging young professionals. Beyond verification, it also strives to benefit society by promoting civil applications, capacity building, training, and mentoring in this critical field (source: https://conferences.ctbto.org/event/30/overview).

As part of the conference, we had the opportunity to present the e-poster “Neutralization of a WWII Aerial Bomb in the Port of Rijeka: Seismological Data Analysis” by Anamarija Tremljan Milun, Viktorija Milec, Valentina Gašo and Tomislav Fiket.

This work is part of the project CROSSNET – Development of a Network of Seismological Data (Project Code: National Recovery and Resilience Plan C6.1. R4-I1), implemented by the Croatian Seismological Survey. Fully-funded by European Union – Next Generation EU.
