On Sunday, May 26th, 2024, part of the associates of the\u00a0CROSSNET project<\/em> departed towards the south of the Republic of Croatia to perform field measurements of microseismic noise in order to find the locations for future seismological stations. The locations chosen for the measurements were on the Pelje\u0161ac peninsula, and on the islands of Kor\u010dula and Palagru\u017ea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Field measurements were carried out in the towns of Trpanj, Kuna Pelje\u0161ka and Orebi\u0107 on the Pelje\u0161ac peninsula, and the town of \u010cara on the island of Kor\u010dula using the MBB-2 seismometer and Q8 data digitizer for 24 hours. On the island of Palagru\u017ea, the ETNA2 accelerograph and MBB-2 seismometer were installed, which will record earthquakes for the next few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
